i tried following ROMZAP,Workingtex and Microcode bootloader .

Romzap software gets connected to bootloader but when i try to d/l

Workingtex gives me " Writing Error"

Microcode also gives Programming Error ..saying error in progrmming

i have checked connection of max232 and pic....they r fine....as a
simple communicaton program in picbasic worked fine....communicated in both
direction..i.e PIC to PC and PC to PIC

After getting frustated i m approaching this list.....hope someone

nisheeth,
read the info about using bootloaders on MELABS
site. you may need to change modes or put in a resistor or
both.

Did you load the appropriate bootloader in the chip first?

check that the lvp option and the watchdog are disable, and enable the flash writing.

Check if this works!!

Make sure you have Flash Memory Programming enabled in the EPIC file when
you first program the chip. Also I think you need to have the handshaking
leads on the RS-232 interface wired up correctly - not just the Tx & Rx
leads. I seem to recall having problems until I wired up the DB-9
connector exactly as it is done on the LAB-X1 board (schematic available at
www.melabs.com) .

Cheers

Brian.
